Actinolite

Works on the root chakra. Brings body functions into harmony and balance. Stabilizes the physical crystallization process. It can restructure the cells into positive crystallization. A protective shield which repels ones own negative thoughts. Helps strengthen the needs and the thought process of the physical body, and allows it to accept what has taken place. Aegirine

The Stone of Self Healing.
A form of Pyroxene also known as Acmite. It is a high energy stone often used for energizing. Protects against psychic attacks and negative energy. Can be very helpful for broken relationships, eliminating group pressure and strengthening self acceptance. Builds self esteem, self sufficiency and helps follow your heart. Root and Solar Plexus chakras, excellent for the immune system, making it great for general healing and helping the body heal itself.

Agate

A variety of chalcedony. Tones and strengthens body/mind. lmparts a sense of strength and courage. Facilitates ability to discern truth and accept circumstances. Grounding, but energetic. Powerful healer. Works with chakras and attitudes according to colour of stone.

Agate and Onyx are both varieties of layered chalcedony that differ only in the form of the bands: Agate has curved bands and Onyx has parallel bands. The colours of its bands range from white to almost every colour. Commonly, specimens of Onyx contain bands of black and/or white.

Alunite

The Stone of Patience.
A source of the chemical known as Alum, also Potassium and Aluminium. Recommended for grounding your energy and increase stability, determination and persistence. Thought to enhance creativity in the arts. Place a piece in the corner of the room to balance energies. Good for fostering long term commitment. Teaches the rewards of patience.

Amethyst

Amethyst Aura

It is created artificially by placing natural quartz crystals into a vacuum chamber with vaporised metals, in this instance platinum and magnesium. Although the process for creating these aura crystals is not carried out within the earth, they are made of ‘all natural components’ with no man-made or synthetic additives such as dyes. Ammolite

The Stone of Wealth and Abundance
Over 70 million years old, Ammolite is a rare opal like organic gemstone made from the fossilised shells of Ammonites, which in turn were mostly composed of Aragonite, the same as pearls. One of the biogenic gemstones which includes Amber and Pearl.
Legend tells of a Blackfoot woman who discovered the stone. During a particular harsh winter, the buffalo had disappeared and the tribe was starving. She heard beautiful singing and followed it to an ammolite stone under a cottonwood tree. The stone told her it was powerful medicine and if she took it back it would provide food for the Blackfoot. She did so and the next morning a large herd of buffalo where seen outside the camp. After that the Blackfoot used the stone in buffalo hunting ceremonies, wrapping it in a medicine bundle of buffalo hide. Ever since it has commonly been referred to as the ‘Buffalo Stone’ as it signifies wealth and abundance.

Amphibole Quartz

A type of quartz that is only found in Brazil, making it a relatively rare crystal. It is named after the group of minerals, “Amphibole” that make a part of this category of quartz stones. It is usually very lightly coloured. The most commonly found specimen of the quartz is white in colour with a touch of yellow, orange, red, gold, brown, peach, or pink in it. The colour will vary based on the mineral composition. Also called Phantom Quartz or Angel Wing Phantom, which is a reference to the “phantoms” that appear in the crystal due to the amalgamation of various kinds of minerals. Each mineral that makes us the stone plays its own distinct role in the overall energy exuded. This means that the properties of each of the minerals will be amplified and vibrated across the auric field surrounding the stone. Known to assist a person’s communication with his or her personal spirit angels, a great tool for psychic hearing.
